Palmdale Family Resource Center

Helping Families Create a Better Life

Recognizing the connection between health, education, environment, and the economic and social conditions that affect children, youth, and families, ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog launched a Family Resource Center in 1992 to support and strengthen communities through healthy family development.

We’re Here To Help!

Located in Palmdale, the Family Resource Center provides a wide range of support and programs, such as mental health services, tutoring, educational classes, and a food bank, universally accessible to surrounding Antelope Valley communities.

Family Resource Center Services

Food Bank

On a semimonthly basis, families can pick up free, essential food items. ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog also provides clothing, school supplies and toys at specified times of the year (e.g., the holidays, back-to-school time).

Tutoring and Learning Lab

ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog’ Learning Lab program provides area students, 4th to 12th grade, with free group and individual tutoring. The tutoring program is for high-achieving students looking for enrichment opportunities and for students struggling in school and needing additional support. Beginning in junior high, the Learning Lab also has a college prep program that provides students and their parents with guidance and assistance with applying to college and for financial aid. The Family Resource Center also offers students access to computers. To learn more, download our tutoring flyer in Ìý´Ç°ù . (Flyers will download as pdf files.)

Community Services

Parenting classes and substance abuse counseling are two additional services that are available to the community at the Family Resource Center.

Enrichment Programs

Youth enrichment activities at the Family Resource Center include art classes, peer mentorship, and youth leadership for teens who want to make a difference in their community.

Behavioral Health Services
