About the “Colorful Creatures” Art Project

This calendar is more than just a beautiful collection of artwork—it a testament to the creativity and resilience of the children in our programs.

Ķvlog' 2026 Calendar Anthony's Tyger

From butterflies and birds to turtles, a tiger, and even a mythical animal, the young artists at Fernangeles Elementary School in the San Fernando Valley discovered the beauty, diversity, and inspiration found in colorful creatures. Under the guidance of artist Mary Kay Wilson, the students sharpened their observation skills and learned to see like an artist through drawing exercises. Next, they experimented with watercolor, exploring color mixing and technique, before bringing their colorful subjects to life in their final paintings. “Watching the students’ creativity unfold inspires me,” said Mary Kay. “Each step of the process gives them new skills and confidence, and it a joy to see them grow as artists while expressing their own unique vision.”

Don’t wait—supplies are limited! Thank you for partnering with us to make a better life possible for those we serve.
